Nach langer Pause gibt es wieder eine neue Version des HomebrewFilters. Der HomebrewFilter ermöglicht bspw. die Sortierung der Apps in Kategorien, biete Online-Updates, Themen und Schriftarten zum Im-App-Download, Unterstützung für Wii Remote, Game Cube Controller, Wii Classic Controller und Wii U Pro Controller, sowie einiges mehr.

Homebrew kann auf einer Wii von SD-Karte, USB-Festplatte, DVD oder einem SD-Gecko in einem der beiden Game Cube Memory Card Slots geladen werden, in der vWii stehen die SD-Karte und USB-Festplatte zur Verfügung.

Zu den Highlights der neuen Version gehören:

Unterstützung für Wii U Pro Controller
vollständiges Knopf-Layout (ermöglich vollständige Navigation auch ohne Wii Remote)
Erkennung von BootMii (IOS) im Wii-Build korrigiert
Möglichkeit zum Wii-U-Menü zu wechseln im vWii-Build
Geräte-Symbol auf App-Schaltflächen wird (wenn aktiv) wieder korrekt dargestellt
Deutsche Übersetzung aktualisiert (Menü > Einstellungen > Sprache > Download > [german.lang] herunterladen)
